1. Protecting Your Personal Information

1.1 What NOT to Share

Financial Information: Bank details, credit card numbers, crypto wallets
Home Address: Wait until you truly trust someone
Workplace Details: Company name or specific location
Social Security Number: Never share this with anyone
Intimate Photos: Can be misused or distributed without consent

1.2 When to Share Information

Only share personal details after:

Multiple video calls to verify identity
Building genuine trust over time
Feeling completely comfortable
Meeting in person successfully

2. Recognizing Red Flags

2.1 Romance Scam Warning Signs

Professes love very quickly (within days or weeks)
Claims to be overseas (military, oil rig, business trip)
Asks for money or financial help
Has excuses for not video calling
Photos look too perfect or professional
Story inconsistencies or vague details
Wants to move off-platform quickly

2.2 Dangerous Behavior

Pressures you to meet immediately
Gets angry when you set boundaries
Tries to isolate you from friends/family
Makes you feel guilty for saying no
Exhibits controlling or possessive behavior
Has anger issues or violent tendencies

3. Meeting In Person Safely

3.1 Before the First Date

Have multiple video calls first (use our video chat feature)
Google their name and verify their identity
Tell a friend or family member where you're going
Share your date's profile and meeting location
Set up a check-in time with your friend

3.2 During the First Date

Meet in Public: Coffee shop, restaurant, park (never their home or yours)
Daytime Preferred: Afternoon or early evening
Your Own Transportation: Drive yourself or use your own ride-share
Stay Sober: Limit alcohol to stay alert
Keep Phone Charged: Ensure you can call for help if needed
Trust Your Instincts: Leave if you feel uncomfortable

3.3 After the First Date

Let your friend know you're home safe
Take time to process how you felt
Don't feel pressured to continue if uncomfortable
Report any concerning behavior to AmouraOS®
